Vista, CA (6/25/2010)
- Motoworks’ Chad Wienen took the moto one
win at round seven of the 2010 AMA ATV Motocross
Championships, which would take him to the podium,
while John Natalie and Jeremie Warnia would come
on strong to take solid finishes.
Muddy Creek in Blountville, TN was the hosting
facility for round seven, and the hot and humid
conditions did not deter Chad Wienen once the
gate dropped. Wienen was in mid pack off the
line in moto one and he made an impressive charge
as he worked his way through traffic. Soon Wienen
would find himself in the number two spot behind
Jeremy Lawson, but Lawson was no match for Wienen
as he quickly made the pass to take the lead.
Wienen would hold his lead for several laps
before bringing it to the checkered flag for
the moto one win.

In the second moto, Wienen was off to a good
start and swapped positions several times before
finishing in the number three spot. Wienen’s
1-3 finishes put him in the number two spot
on the podium and boosted him into third place
in the series points chase. “It really
felt great to take the win in moto one. I was
feeling good out there and the quad was running
awesome. For me to take that win really helps
with my confidence for round nine. Our whole
team was running really strong and we are looking
forward to round eight,” stated Wienen.
John Natalie, Jr. was on a mission as well
and came off the line in an amazing show of
force and speed. Natalie was challenging Josh
Upperman for the lead when he and Dustin Wimmer
would connect, sending Natalie off the track
and taking him out of commission for moto one.
Natalie would come back strong in moto two,
taking second in the holeshot once again. Natalie
would eventually finish in fourth, giving him
eighth overall for the day.
