Vista, CA (6/14/2010)
- Motoworks’ Chad Wienen and John Natalie
charged their way to the podium at round six of
the AMA ATV Motocross Championships while Jeremie
Warnia would battle his way to finish in the top
ten.
After bad weather forced the cancellation of
Friday’s practice, many were worried that
the heavy rain would carry over to Sunday’s
races, but Mother Nature cut everyone a break
and the rain held off; however, the track conditions
became quite rough throughout the day, but that
didn’t deter the Motoworks team from making
their way to the podium.

Chad Wienen landed in 2nd place overall
after charging hard in both of his Pro
motos by going 2-2 on the day |
In the first Pro moto, Chad Wienen charged
off the line in mid-pack and quickly began picking
off the competition. Wienen would make his way
into the number two spot three laps before the
end of the moto and hold that position all the
way to the checkered flag. In moto two, Wienen
got off to a better start in the number three
spot. Wienen worked his way to the number two
spot again by mid-moto and would come under
fire from Dustin Wimmer late in the moto, but
Wienen would hold him off to take another second
place finish, securing the second spot on the
pro podium.
“We have all been working really hard,
so it felt great to be back on the podium and
I am hoping to keep it that way for the rest
of the season,” stated Wienen.
John Natalie, Jr. also had a solid run this
weekend as he would claim the number three spot
on the podium. In the first moto, Natalie charged
hard and would finish in a strong fourth place.
In moto two, the Ironman was determined to be
on the podium and battled hard with Josh Upperman
and teammate Wienen before taking third at the
checkered flag. Natalie’s 4-3 finishes
put him in the final spot on the podium and
now has him sitting in a comfortable third place
in the championship points chase.
“We came out to the track early and did
some testing and it really paid off. The quad
was dialed in great and everything went really
well out there. I am looking forward to round
seven because I really want Chad and I to be
number one and two on the podium,” said
Natalie.
