ITP Round #8: Lake Elsinore, Ca- 10/28/09:
Motowork’s stayed at home this
past weekend and what I mean by that is, a home
race would see the three Motoworks Pro’s
take on their home track for Round 8 of the
ITP Quadcross Nationals. Cahilla Creek, home
to the Motoworks team would see John Natalie
dominate the Open Pro with a 1-1 finish, while
Frederick would round out the top 3, posting
3-4 finishes for 3rd Overall. In the premier
450 Pro Production class, Wania would best the
three Motoworks pilots with a 4-1 to grab the
2nd overall on the day. Wienen would find himself
collecting a 2-3 score for 3rd O/A, while Natalie
and Frederick would post lower scores after
Moto 1 & 2 issues. Final round will come
Nov 22nd where Jeremie Warnie looks to wrap
up the Open Pro & 450 Pro Production class
Championships.
WORCS Round #8: Mesquite, Nv- 10/28/09:
Motoworks had one goal in mind coming into Mesquite
and win. With MCR’s Beau Baron out in
front in points, Josh would have to win and
Baron no better than an 11th. Just when you
thought things wouldn’t get stranger,
Baron would find himself in a mechanical problem
situation and Frederick capitalize by getting
out front and staying on the gas. Unfortunately
for the Motowork’s crew, Baron would fix
the electrical problem and climb back to 10th
to secure it. Meanwhile Frederick motored and
did what he came to do which was win. Teammates
Warnia, Weinen and Zimmerman finished respectively
3rd, 4th & 8th on the day. Chad Weinen who
came out for some seat time before heading back
east, would start an early gap before succumbing
to the charge of his teammate Frederick, while
Warnia would ride yet another successful race
to 3rd. Newly crowned Pro-Am Champion Zimmerman,
would turn Pro at this event which he did not
dissapoint as he captured 8th O/A at the Mesquite
MX facility.
“WOW- What a season, so much learning
from each of us and I can’t tell you how
proud I am of our team and the determination
behind each of these riders. We wish Josh could
of had better luck behind him this weekend,
but he did what he came out here to do and was
get that win back after that nasty ITP crash
in Glen Helen. Sometimes a rider will lose his
train of thought and I’m glad Josh was
able to focus today and get that monkey off
his back. The whole team did a great job. Johnny
and myself are already looking ahead for a very
positive and successful season in 2010.”
Ty Zimmerman of Motoworks.
