Motoworks February ATV Racing Newsletter - WORCS, Beach Race

Motoworks Feb Newsletter
Lake Elsinore, CA (3/5/2009) - Motoworks traveled to France the second weekend of February to enter the most demanding craziest race in the world known as “Le Touquet Beach Race”. With 500 entries and reported 170,000 spectators, Josh and Jeremy teamed up to encounter the rough demanding sand course on a sunny and very cold weekend. Josh ran in the top 5 for a good portion of the race, until the Can-AM 450 went dry.

“We had a little mishap, but that comes with the territory. Besides that, Josh ran really well and we were pleased with our first trip out to this race.” -Ty Zimmerman of Motoworks.

While Josh finished 64th out of 500 ATV entries, teammate Jeremy Warnia from France finished a very respectable runner-up 2nd position. Congrats to a Jeremy on a superb finish.

WORCS Rd #2: (2-28-09): Adelanto, Ca- Team Can-Am Motoworks put in a solid race for the 2nd round of the 2009 WORCS Racing series. In the Pro class, Josh Frederick finished where he left off in Phoenix, and that was on top of the box. For two races in a row, Frederick secured the Pro win and heads to Havasu with a commanding points lead. Jeremy Warnia capped off with another solid 4th place finish. Warnia who has posted a 4-4 in two rounds, sits 5th in points after two rounds. Pro-AM Can-AM rider, Dillon Zimmerman like Frederick ran at the front all day, and will match Josh in points as he wins two in a row as well to make the trip to Lake Havasu a little relaxed. Zimmerman remains one of most relaxed and poised riders in the pro-am class. Motoworks seems to have the 2009 season dialed in for sure.
