Team MotoX Nutrition Polaris Racers In Full Force

Washougal, WA (10/8/2010) - Polaris racing was in full force this past weekend at the Queensland state titles held at Coolum on the Sunshine Coast.

In the Pro Class, racing was going to be tight with Kawasaki mounted Luke Nixon returning from racing in the USA, then throw Luke Beechey and Mick Roycroft in the mix who have both been showing nice form recently.

It was a mixed bag of results over the 5 x 14 minute motos with Luke Beechey taking two wins and three 2nds to give him the overall win, and with Mick Roycroft going 4, 3,3,2,2 to take 2nd overall for the weekend. Both Polaris’s machines ran flawlessly all weekend considering the hectic schedule with Luke's 450 Outlaw MXR and Micks Outlaw IRS 525 backing up for 2 other.

Competing for his first ever quad race was Gold Coast based Motocross rider Corey Cooper, who after being invited by good friend Luke Beechey to race one of his quads decided to take to the Clubman class and dominate 4 moto’s and a DNF giving him 2nd overall for the weekend.

Rob Booth was the man to beat in the Vets class as he took to the track with the highly competitive over the hill class, without fail he managed to dominate and take the state Championship. Rob was clearly in some pain after a mid week practice accident but he managed to push through the first moto to take 4th. With moto one under his belt he knew what had to be done and that was to push hard on day 2 and better his results, which he achieved with a 3, 1, 1, 1 in the final day to take the overall state title for 2010.

Micks hectic Pro schedule didn’t stop him from having some fun in the 2 support classes for the weekend, he competed in the Iron man which was a 4 moto format back to back with only a 5 min gap between each moto. The 4 lap races were a test of the fittest in the soaring humid Qld sun but Mick not only won the event but took 4 wins and managed to get 4 holeshots and lead every race to the end.
At the end of the weekend the state of origin race was run with team NSW taking the win with help from Mick who managed to hold out all the fellow NSW riders and team Qld racers and take the top spot.

Both teams would like to thank its supporting sponsors.
