Sparta, KY (6/1/2008) - The
GNCC Sparta, Kentucky race was one of the best
races of the series thus far. Eight time defending
champion Bill Ballance proves again why he will
be remembered as one of the greatest of all
time atv racers in the world. After grabbing
the hole shot, Bill smashed a rock in a creek
section forcing him to pit on the first lap
falling back to 9th place. Battling some of
the best competition the GNCC has ever seen,
Bill not only managed to regain his first place
position, but also charged ahead to a 18 second
lead. Bill’s performance is proof of what
consistent riding and training can do for conditioning
allowing him to win the race!
William Yokley battled back and forth for the
top three spots, leading the race on lap 2 and
finishing 3rd over all for the day. William’s
battle with Bill, Adam McGill, and Brandon Sommers
for the entire race is living proof that his
training program has paid off. This is William’s
second podium finish of the year.
Jarrod McClure maintained a consistent top
five performance finishing 5th over all, again
proving his riding ability and physical conditioning
are allowing him to become a major threat to
the competition. Look for Moto Pro Training’s
McClure to finish up on the podium soon.
Jennifer Albright also had an excellent race
placing 3rd in Women’s Pro class and 6th
over all in the morning race. This is Jennifer’s
second podium finish and surely not her last!
