#1 Beau Baron would
unfortunately encounter some mechanical
issues during the last round but would
put in a hard effort nevertheless &
press on to the finish

Bonsall, CA (10/23/2010) - The
2010 WORCS season saw the MCR/Maxxis Tire’s
team claim two championships and narrowly miss
a third after a tough battle to the end at the
final round in Mesquite, Nevada.
MCR/Maxxis Tire’s Beau Baron has had
an incredibly successful season, never finishing
outside of the top four in eight rounds. Baron’s
determination, speed and dedication allowed
him to end his season in second place in the
points chase despite a tough break in lap six
of the final round. Baron was in the points
lead going into round nine, but a mechanical
failure dashed Baron’s hopes of a repeat
championship, putting him two laps down.
Although Baron fought hard all the way to the
end, he was not able to make up the two-lap
deficit and would have to settle for an eighth
place finish, landing him in second in the Pro
points championship. “It’s really
disappointing for me because I worked really
hard this season to get where I was, but that’s
racing and things don’t always go as planned,”
said Baron.

#5 Josh Row would
finish the season off strong in an impressive
3rd place in the Pro points championship
standings after staying consistent all
season long!
|
“It was a really tough break for Beau
and the team. Everyone has worked so hard, especially
Beau. I can’t even describe how disappointing
it is, but we plan to move forward from here
and next season we will bring the championship
back and put Beau back up on top where he belongs,”
stated team manager, Mike Cafro.
MCR Maxxis Tire’s Josh Row has also had
an impressive season. Row’s consistency
and ever-improving performance allowed him to
finish third in the Pro points championship
race. Row landed on the podium a total of three
times and claimed a total of eight top five
finishes throughout the season.
 |
Davi Haagsma also
finished strong taking a 5th place position
in the Pro class after he wrapped up
the Pro-Am WORCS championship a couple
rounds earlier in the season!
|
Team manager and racer, Mike Cafro also had a solid season. Although Cafro sacrificed
some of his races on occasion to tend to the needs
of his team, Cafro still claimed sixth overall
in points at season’s end.
Pro-am Racer, David Haagsman had a stellar
season as he wrapped up the Pro-am championship
two rounds early. Haagsma then decided to try
his hand and the Pro class and in the final
round, Haagsma put in an incredible charge to
take a top five finish at Mesquite.

Julie Russell would
also seal the deal on her Women's A
class championship earlier in the season
but drove one last nail in the lid for
good measure as she put on a great performance
at the Mesquite MX for round 9
|
In the Women’s class, Julie Russell had an amazing season, taking seven
consecutive wins and securing the Women’s
A championship with her round eight win at Glen
Helen.
“I am really proud of our whole team.
Everyone has worked incredibly hard this season
and it shows in our teams’ success. David
and Julie practically swept their classes, and
Beau and Josh did an excellent job in the Pro
class and we hope to carry over the success
to next season,” concluded Cafro.
Now that the 2010 season has come to an end,
the team will be taking a well-deserved break
and then resume it’s training in order
to stay on top for the 2011 season.
