Lucas Oil Midwest Extreme Dirt
Track Season Starts April 23, 2011
Ava, MO (3/15/2011) - Round
1 of the 2011 Lucas Oil Midwest Extreme Dirt Track
season is fast approaching, and the MWEDT directors
expect this season to be a breakout season for
MWEDT racing. Coming off of a very successful
2010 season, the MWEDT will be expanding to 7
races in 2011. The season starts with a “Daytona-like”
race for Round 1 at Thunderbird
Speedway in Muskogee, OK.
With $5,000 of Pro Purse payout being contributed
to the race by the City of Muskogee, this event
is sure to attract national pro-level talent as
well as top amateur riders in the region. The
race will set the stage for a tremendous year
of MWEDT racing. Thunderbird Speedway as well
as Sikeston Race Park (Round 6 in the MWEDT series)
will both be stops on the National EDT schedule
in 2011 as well. Of course the series could not
be the success that it has become without the
tremendous support of series sponsors, including
2011’s title sponsor, Lucas Oil. Lucas Oil,
a widely recognized name in many forms of motorsports,
brings its nationally-renowned racing products
to the series in the form of a contingency program
for riders. The MWEDT also welcomes Fly Racing
to the series sponsorship family in 2011.
Fly Racing is also offering a rider contingency
program to MWEDT riders the form of “Fly
Bucks” towards Fly Racing products. And
Hoosier Racing Tire is back in 2011 with a contingency
race tire program to benefit MWEDT riders. The
MWEDT series is proud of all its sponsor relationships
for 2011, including Roberts Racing, H&H Extreme
ATV, MonsterPowersports.com, Extreme Dirt Sports,
ESJ Graphics, and SKD Properties. We look forward
to another great and exciting year of racing in
the MWEDT.
