Jordan Digby went 2-3 for the overall
in the 90 CVT class & a 2nd place
in the 70cc single speed class which allowed
him to wrap up that championship with
2 round still to go in the 2010 season! |
Cumming, GA (7/21/2010) - Team
Morehead Motorsports/Media Allstars made the annual
trip to New Berlin, NY to try their hands at one
of the nation’s premier Motocross Tracks
for round 9 of the ATVA National MX series at
World famous Unadilla MX. The weekend’s
weather made for some interesting track conditions
as the area saw plenty of rain through out the
weekend. The good news was that most of the rain
(though intense) was short lived and the track
crew was on top of things making sure that they
did all they could to keep the New York soil from
becoming too saturated. Racers endured, mud, dust
and rocks but the racing was intense…..as
usual.
A mid season addition to Team MMS/Media Allstars
is paying dividends for both the team and rider.
Jordan Digby #88 showed this weekend why he
is already a multi time national champion….he
is just plain FAST! The fearless 8 year old
rider continues to turn heads by pushing his
little Cobra ATV to it’s limits week in
and week out. Digby went 2-3 for the overall
in the 90 auto Jr class and his 2nd place overall
in the 70 single speed was good enough to wrap
up the 2010 Championship with 2 rounds to go!
It’s looking like the Digby’s are
going to have to remodel the house soon and
build a larger mantle as Jordan is racking up
the hardware.
After a racing career moment at Pleasure Valley
(winning the Pro-Am Unlimited overall) Ronnie
Higgerson #665 found himself having a rough
weekend. Ronnie went 5-19 for 17th overall in
Pro-Am Unlimited and 16-12 for 15th in Pro-Am
Production. Mark Batson #636 used good starts
to earn a 7-6 moto score and bring home 7th
overall in the Vet 30+ A/B class. Mark is inching
his way closer to his goal of a top 5 for the
year and with 2 more consistent finishes should
be able to land himself in the top 5 by season’s
end. Hillsboro, OH’s Ryan Wheeler #52
battled the track conditions in 2 out of his
4 motos at Unadilla. Ryan fought hard and rode
smart earning a 3-2 in 450C for 2nd overall
in the slop that was Sunday morning’s
motos. The 4-stroke C class saw the Suzuki pilot
go 2-2 for 2nd overall to earn his second runner
up spot of the weekend.
Chase Cunningham #419 took to the track at
Unadilla after nearly a month off from racing.
You’d never know it though as Chase rocketed
out of the gate in Open A using his Idol Speed
Quad Shot Holeshot Device to get to the first
turn ahead of his competition and managed to
hold on to finish 2nd in the moto. Another good
start in the Open A main event helped to earn
Chase a 2-5 score for 5th overall. The 25+ class
saw Chase work his way through the pack in both
motos to go 2-3 for 3rd overall and complete
a successful weekend for the MMS/MAS Support
Team Coordinator.
As the season is wrapping up and point’s
battles are getting closer it’s safe to
say that the entire MMS/Media Allstar team is
looking forward to round 10! Red Bud Track and
Trail is another one of the Nations best Motocross
tracks and round 11 of the ATVA MX National
Series should see plenty of Media Allstars on
the podium once again.
