GNCC Racing Series at the John Penton

Suwanee, GA (7/10/2012) - Chris
Borich took another step toward the 2012 GNCC ATV
championship, racking up his eighth win of the season
at Round 9. Maxxis’ sponsored riders took
three of the top four spots at the race, held July
7 in Millfield, Ohio.
Soaring temperatures and varying track conditions
couldn’t stop Borich, who rode his trusted
Razr and Razr2 tire combo. “It got a little
dusty, but not too bad,” he said. “It
was the type of track that was tacky in some spots,
but there were some parts that were super-dry
and slick. The tires were so predictable in the
corners and just did whatever I needed them to
do.”
Taylor Kiser, who earned fourth place in XC1
Pro, took the lead early in the first lap, switching
the front spot with Borich in Lap 2. Walker Fowler
finished in third place after riding in fierce
competition with another rider for the second
half of the race. Borich, Kiser and Fowler are
first, second and third in the series’ points
standings. Brian Wolf is also in the top ten in
points, currently holding ninth place.
In XC2 Pro, Gabe Phillips took fourth place for
Maxxis. Phillips is third in points for the class.
