Maxxis' Team UXC
Racing Wins 10-Hour Heartland Challenge
Heartland
Challenge 10 Hour ATV Endurance Race - Carlisle,
IA - August 20, 2011
Suwanee, GA (8/25/2011) - Team
UXC won the 10-Hour Heartland Challenge, held
August 20 in Lewisburg, Tennessee. Michael Swift,
Cliff Beasley and another guest rider took the
Pro Utility class championship on Bighorn 2.0
tires by completing 31 laps in 10:16:10 hours.
In third place after the start, Beasley gained
the front spot by the third lap. His teammates
kept extending UXC’s lead, so much so that
they lapped their entire class at least twice.
Their finish was good for seventh place overall
at the event, and UXC was the only utility ATV
team to crack the overall top ten.
Swift was pleased with his team’s performance
and with their Maxxis tires: "We ran a ten-hour
race flawlessly. Everything came together and
worked as planned. The terrain was hard-packed
for the most part with no mud and a few ruts in
the woods. Our Bighorn 2.0s worked really well
and still looked new after the ten-hour race,
other than the podium burnout!"
Maxxis congratulates all the members of Team
UXC on their victory and thanks them for proving
once again that champions ride Maxxis.
