Maxxis' Joel Hetrick went 1-1 to take the overall win at Unadilla round 9 aboard the new Razr Xm tires

Suwanee, GA (7/20/2011) - Joel Hetrick’s trust in his new Razr Xm tires paid off with dominating wins in both motos at Round 9 of the ATV Motocross National Championship series. The race was held July 16 in New Berlin, New York.

In the first moto, Hetrick made steady progress from a third-place start to gain the lead several laps into the race, and finished seven seconds ahead of the next rider. He went on to take the holeshot in the second moto, maintaining his lead throughout the race. Hetrick finished Moto 2 with a lead of five seconds. “I had a really good race, and everything just came together for me today. I was a little nervous out there, but I was able to go out there and get it done. I’ve always had good luck at Unadilla and I’m very excited to be up here,” Hetrick told ATVriders.com.

The overall victory was his first in his rookie year as a pro, and he is in seventh place overall in points for the series.

Other riders on Maxxis also finished in the top ten. Jeremy Lawson took third and fourth place in the two motos to finish fourth overall, and Thomas Brown was sixth in Moto 1 and seventh in Moto 2 for sixth place overall. Lawson and Brown are third and fifth in series’ points, respectively.

Moto-Xperts' Aaron Meyer took the Pro-Am production win aboad his Maxxis Razr ATV Tires

Aaron Meyer took the Pro Am victory for Maxxis, with third and first place finishes, while Casey Martin went 2-12 for sixth place overall. Martin leads the class in points, with Meyer in third place.
