Brown placed third overall at AMA ATV

Suwanee, GA (7/6/2011) - Thomas
Brown took third place overall at Round 8 of the
ATV MX series by turning in solid third-place performances
in both motos. The race was held July 2 in Millfield,
Ohio.
Conditions were less than optimal for Moto 1 due
to showers that moved in just before the race.
But Brown’s Orange-Label Razr MX rear tires
and Razr Cross fronts came through for him.
“I got off to a good start in about fifth
and made a couple passes right away,” he
told ATVriders.com after Moto 1. “I was
really glad to be up there early because of all
that mud. I hope I can pull off another solid
moto in Moto 2 and be on the podium at the end
of the day.”
Conditions were perfect for Moto 2, and the Ballance
Racing Yamaha rider made steady progress toward
the front, gaining the third-place spot three
laps before the finish. With 232 points, Brown
is currently sixth in the series’ point
standings.
Maxxis pros Jeremy Lawson and Joel Hetrick finished
fourth and sixth overall on the day.

Casey Martin won the Pro-Am Production class
at Sunday Creek |
In the Pro Am Production class, Maxxis rider
Casey Martin went 1-1 for first overall and Aaron
Meyer went 7-3 for third place in the class. Martin
and Meyer are first and third in Pro Am point
standings.
