Maxxis Takes 2nd Straight ATV Podium Sweep Suwanee, GA (3/24/2010) - Maxxis’
sponsored riders made it two in a row, sweeping
the GNCC ATV podium for a second straight event.
Chris Borich took the victory, with Taylor Kiser
in second place and the legendary Bill Ballance
in third. The race was held March 20 in Morganton,
North Carolina.
The race began with a holeshot by Ballance, followed
by a two-hour pitched battle among the eventual
top three riders. Borich grabbed the lead in the
last lap to take the win, with Kiser crossing
the finish line a little over one second later.
Maxxis’ Donald Ockerman earned a place in
the top ten with a sixth place finish, while Brandon
Sommers took seventh. Borich, Kiser and Ballance
also hold the top three spots in the series’
overall standings.
Maxxis also dominated the podium in the Women’s
class, with a victory for Traci Cecco and a third
place finish by Jennifer Albright. Like all of
Maxxis’ ATV riders, Cecco and Albright chose
Razrs to take them across the finish line.
