AMA MAXC Racing Series Heads to Porter's Cave Run

Gosport, IN (5/15/2014) – The MAXC Racing Series will host its second round of its ten round off-road racing series on May 17th in Gosport, IN. After a successful season opener with near perfect weather the MAXC crew is back at it again designing an all-new track at what is dubbed Porter’s Cave Run.

The nine-mile track features some of the best off-road terrain that Indiana has to offer including several elevation changes with a mixture of clay, sandy, and rocky areas. The course will wind its way through thick brushy areas to open wooded areas with a few high-speed field sections. The challenging track will also include the FMF Power Hill, Outerwears Mud Flea Creek and the Unabiker Armored area which are a must for spectators to check out as these areas will have some of the best racing action taking place!

The youth racers will also have a pristine course to race on that will be three miles in length. The peewee track will be one mile in length that winds through the woods and up a few safe but challenging hill sections.

Just like the season opener, the MAXC Racing series will also feature a Pro Row where amateur racers and spectators can get up close and meet all the pro racers in the MAXC Racing Series. In addition there will also be a vendor row featuring several food vendors and many of the MAXC Racing Series sponsors including Spykes KTM, T&T Motosports, Everlast Designs (with MAXC Apparel and novelties), Dreyer Honda South, Holeshot Enterprises (powder coating, and track side race fuel), Unabiker, and MZM Performance. You can also purchase a raffle ticket at the track for $10 to win a Moto Tech Trailer worth over $15,000 that will be raffled off at the end of the year at the awards banquet!

There will also be many prizes and awards given out including many holeshot awards sponsored by Spider Graphix, and Tom Boy Barbie. Dreyer Honda South will also be giving awards gifts to all the peewee racers!

At the MAXC Racing Season Opener, Cole Richardson made the long trek over from Pennsylvania to earn the first win of the season in the MAXC Pro ATV Class racing his AmPro Yamaha YFZ450R. In the MAXC Pro Bike Class, Defending MAXC Pro Bike Champion Chris Bach started right where he left off last season and took the top spot on the podium racing on his JGR Honda.

Only time will tell who will claim a position on the MAXC podium along with the beautiful MAXC trophy girls. No matter who makes it on the podium, there will be some exciting racing that will take place as the series just begins to kick off a new year of Mid America Cross Country Racing.
