Sikeston, MO (9/10/2010) -
On Saturday, October 16, Lucas Oil “on the
Edge”, along with Speed channel will be
coming to the SEMO Raceway in Sikeston, MO to
televise the SEMO Fall Pro Shootout ATV race.
This event has already stirred the excitement
of many and you can feel the electricity in the
air as people have been hitting the twitter, facebook,
youtube, and atv sites looking for information.
The Extreme Dirt Track style race will have a
full event will be taped on October 16th, then
edited, finessed, and finalized. An air date will
then be announced. Although the exact date and
time have not been announced yet, it will be in
prime time on a Saturday for the first viewing,
and will be aired more than once.
Pro and amateur ATV racers and fans everywhere
should be aware of the importance of this event
to the our sport as it will showcase ATV racing
on a primetime spot on the Speed Channel this
fall all across the country for millions to view,
and based on the success of the race will determine
if a full season of racing will be featured on
Speed Channel in 2011.
It is paramount that as many racers and fans
attend this event to make it a success with grand
stands full of spectators and a full gate of racers
to provide a great show for the television cameras
because a low rider turnout and empty stands could
drive yet one more nail in the coffin of ATV racing
that is already hurting from the economy.
This will be a must attend event for all ATV
enthusiast and be sure to get out your magic markers
and crayons, make your signs for your favorite
racers, Speed Channel, and Lucas Oil.
Many of the National Pro and Amateur ATV racers
have already committed to coming to the event,
and not just the TT series as there have been
numerous calls of riders from the motocross venues
wanting to get in on the action.
