2012 Lucas Oil Off-Road Expo in Pomona, California
350+ Exhibitors, Racing Demos, Freestyle MX, ATV Test Rides, & Autograph Signing

Pomona, CA (9/28/2012) - The 2012 Lucas Oil Off-Road Expo powered by General Tire at the Pomona Fairplex Saturday, October 6 through Sunday, October 7 will feature a long list of off-road celebrities available for autographs and photos in addition to the over 350 exhibitors, racing demos and more.  “This year’s list of celebrities has grown two fold over last year’s show,” said Jessica Hubley, Marketing Director for Off Road Expo.  “With SCOREville, the Dirt Theatre, the Off-Road Motorsports Hall of Fame events and our exhibitors featured racers we have two full days scheduled, and there is always bound to be more impromptu events.”

The following is the list of off-road athletes that will be available over the weekend:

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 6, 2012 (Show Hours -9:00 am – 6:00 pm)

  • 11:00 am – Rodrigo Ampudia – Dirt Theater – Building 5
    The son of Rodrigo Sr., Papas&Beer Racing, Rodrigo Jr., has been on the podium in Class 8 in the Baja 1000, 500 and 250; and was part of the winning Vildosola Racing historic Baja 1000 overall win.  He has moved into short course racing and already has a Pro2 Win and multiple ProLite wins including 2 in Crandon, one being the “World Championship” race.
  • 11:00 am – Noon – Brian Deegan – Maxxis Tire display – outdoors
    Motocross legend, off-road racer, team owner, and businessman “The General” Brian Deegan is a pioneer in action sports. Brian is the most decorated Freestyle Motocross rider in the competition’s history with 13 X-Games medals to his name, including X Games 17 Gold medal in Rally Cross.
  • 11:30 am - Garrik Freitas – Dirt Theater – Building 5
    Garrick is driving the team’s newly purchased Jimco Class 1/1500 car which they will campaign in the BITD series.
  • Noon – Adam Householder – Dirt Theater – Building 5
    The 2011 season started with a first place overall win at the BITD Silver State 300 and ended with a victory at the BITD Henderson 250.  Adam has carried the momentum created in 2011 to 2012, taking 2nd in class at BITD’s Mint 400.
  • Noon – 2:00 pm Sal Fish – SCOREville (see onsite for exact times) – Building 6. Sal is CEO/President of SCORE International, the leading sanctioning body in the sport of desert racing.  Fish brought innovation to SCORE, organizing class rules, implementing safety procedures, and transforming theBaja 1000 into one of the most recognized motorsports events in the world today.
  • Noon – 2:00 pm – Larry Roeseler– SCOREville (see onsite for exact times) – Building 6. Roeseler holds the record of 13 overall Baja 1000 victories.  Ten of these victories came atop a motorcycle with his first victory in 1976 and his most recent win in a Trophy Truck in 2008.  He is a ten-time International Six Day Enduro Gold Medalist and finished 12th at the Dakar Rally in 2004.
  • Noon – 2:00 pm – Rod Hall– SCOREville (see onsite for exact times) – Building 6. Ten-time winner of the internationally recognized Mint 400, ten-time winner of the Parker 400, 12-time winner of the Fireworks 250, 12-time winner of the Baja 500 and the only 17-time winner of the Baja 1000. Over the course of his racing career, Hall has won 14 major class points championships in production 4-Wheel Drive vehicles and well over 150 major events.
  • Noon – 2:00 pm – Rob MacCachren– SCOREville (see onsite for exact times) – Building 6. Rob MacCachren has raced in and won in virtually every kind of Off-Road racing series during his career that has spanned the past 3 decades. Whether it is desert racing in the U.S. or Baja, stadium racing, or short course racing, Rob has raced it and won in it.  He currently has over 200 wins.
  • Noon – 2:00 pm – Walker Evans– SCOREville (see onsite for exact times) – Building 6. During his 30 plus year career, Walker has amassed 142 victories and 21 championship titles.  Walker has won the Baja 1000 nine times and was the first driver to win the 1000 mile grueling event overall in a truck.
  • Noon – 2:00 pm – Chad Ragland – SCOREville (see onsite for exact times) – Building 6. Chad has raced and secured podium finishes in several SCORE Baja 1000 events and the SCORE San Felipe 250 in the trophy truck class.   In 2010, Chad was asked to assist Baldwin Motorsports, driving with Bobby Baldwin and his championship winning son, B.J.
  • 12:30 pm – Jason Voss – Dirt Theater – Building 5. Off Road Racing in the Premier Trophy Truck/Trick Truck class, Voss Motorsports #35 Truck races through the deserts of North America and Baja, Mexico and strives to be a front runner in each and every race.
  • 1:00 pm – Mikey Childress – Dirt Theater – Building 5. Accomplishments include the title of Pikes Peak World Record Holder in ProTruck (2005); Baja 1000 win in 2005; 2006 BITD champion in the Open Pro division; and a return to the SNORE Mint 400 podium with a win in Class 1 in 2011. Prior to truck, he won the coveted Mint 400 in 2006 in the motorcycle division.
  • 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm – Ivan “Ironman” Stewart – Toyota Display – outdoors. Stewart has won 84 races in his off-road racing career and is an icon in his sport.  Stewart’s 84 career wins included 10 season driver championships in truck and buggy racing.
  • 2:00 pm – Rick D. Johnson – Dirt Theater – Building 5. Rick has been successfully winning in Trophy and Trick Truck as part of Team General Tire since 2008.  As an owner of Team 71 Racing, his first major victory came in 2008, when he took first in Trick Truck at the BITD Vegas to Reno and first overall.  Since then, he’s had major podium finishes at the SCORE Baja 1000, the General Tire Mint 400, the Terrible 250, the Baja 500 and the Mint 400.
  • 3:00 pm – Robby Woods – Dirt Theater – Building 5. At the age of 22, Robby has built a competitive race team from scratch.  Robby sits in 11th place in the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series Pro2 Unlimited class of 21 drivers.

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 7, 2012 - (Show Hours – 9:00 am – 5:00 pm)

  • 11:00 am – TJ Flores - Dirt Theater – Building 5. T.J. Flores has won seven Class 1 Championships between SCORE, BITD and SNORE winning key races including the Baja 500, Mint 400, Silver State and Vegas 2 Reno the Long Way.  In 2012 he started racing in the Ultra4 series, and is already podiuming with a second place at Glen Helen Grand Prix.
  • Noon – Kyle Leduc – Dirt Theater – Building 5. Growing up a Leduc pretty much dictates a destiny in off road racing.  28 off road wins, 1 championship and a huge win in the 2009 BorgWarner Cup, Kyle has gained the respect of all his competitors and in 2012 is racing Pro-Lite in addition to his Pro-4.
  • Noon – 2:00 pm – Racing legends including Sal Fish, Larry Roeseler, Rod Hall, Rob MacCachren, Walker Evans, Chad Ragland – SCOREville – Building 6.  See schedule on-site for exact times.  See Above for biography.
  • 1:00 pm – RJ Anderson – Dirt Theater – Building 5. UTV competitor in numerous race series to this day which include Lucas Oil Off-Road Racing Series, M4SX, WORCS, and numerous Grand Prix events. In his first full season behind the wheel of his V8 Pro-Lite, RJ would claim TORC Rookie of the Year honors. In Super-Lite he won the Lucas Oil Challenge Cup trophy.  In 2012, RJ had eight podiums, including four wins, putting him on top of the Pro-Lite Unlimited class to date.
  • 2:00 pm – “Ballistic” BJ Baldwin – Dirt Theater– Building 5. BJ Baldwin is a 4 time national off-road racing Champion and driver of the #97 Monster Energy Trophy Truck. He has recently acquired the titles of 2011 General Tire Mint 400 Winner and 2011 Best in the Desert Series Champion. Other titles include: 2008 Baja 500 1st Place, 2010 Mint 400 2nd Place, 2010 Parker 425 1st Place, as well as being an 06′, 08′, 10′ and 11′ Trophy Truck Champion.
  • 3:00 pm – Harley Letner – Dirt Theater– Building 5. Harley’s accomplishments in the desert since 1999 include three 1st overall wins, four 2nd overall wins, three 3rd overall wins, and 16 First-in-class wins. Harley pilot’s an Alpha Performance Technologies AC.06 Class One car originally owned by Kash and Frank Vessels.
