Phoenix, AZ (2/1/2007) - Lonestar
Racing sponsored rider, Jeff Stambaugh, made the long
drive from Kent, Washington to Surprise, AZ worthwhile
when he secured the 2007 WORCS Series season opening
win in the Rhino Class after an intense battle with
Arizona’s Robert Vanbeekum III through an obstacle
filled course with logs and jumps.
In the end, Vanbeekum III would experience a front
suspension failure, which allowed Stambaugh to cruise
to the checkered flag with the win, and the points lead
in the 10 Round WORCS Series with Round 2 moving west
to Victorville, CA on February 10-11th.
Stambaugh’s Rhino was equipped with Lonestar
Racing’s long travel suspension kit with rear
gusset plate. The XTR long travel suspension was designed
for extreme racing and abuse though is commonly purchased
for the weekend warrior that loves the travel. It features
15” of usable travel with the compliments of a
raised front shock tower to allow for the best shock
valving and the smoothest ride. The arms are 6.5”
wider per side and feature uni-ball pivots with stainless
steel pins for the steering and upper ball joints. Nothing
was spared in designing this kit and Lone Star Racing
is so confident that the arms are backed by a lifetime
warranty against failure.
