Mesa, AZ (4/12/2010) - Lonestar Racing is proud to announce their involvement in the brand new SR1 UTV Racing Class for the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series throughout 2010. The last 6 weeks have flown by at a blistering pace, but we feel we have completed an ultra competitive short course race car with nothing but the best in UTV related technology.

The SR1 class is a new spec type class requiring the use of a Yamaha Rhino chassis and a stock Yamaha YZF-R1 sport bike engine, coupled with an engine mounting system developed by Weller Racing. This engine provides around 150hp at the rear tires and with the 1400 lb total weight of the car, that is a formula for some very exciting and ultra competitive short course off road racing action.
