Baltimore, MD (8/23/2007) -Just
wanted to give everyone the lowdown on the newly
released 2008 KTM 450XC and 525XC racing quads.
I was up at the press intro for the new machines
over the weekend in Providence, Rhode Island,
where the media was introduced to these groundbreaking
production quads.
I was able to put in some hard laps around
a four mile GNCC-style course on both KTM ATV
models, and with the full support of the factory
personnel and also the Ohlins shock technicians,
I was able to get a feel for the potential of
these race-oriented machines.
KTM's Factory ATV Racer, Tim Farr, was on hand
to answer questions about the quads, and it
was really unique to hear how the finished product
had been developed. KTM is entering the ATV
market with the same performance philosophies
that have helped them dominate the bike offroad
scene, so expect big things from them in 2008.
