England (11/5/2013)
- A hard year due to the economic climate but, thankfully, we have
had loyal sponsors who have stuck beside us. Richard’s policy
has always been “first, to win, you must finish”. This is why all the products we use have
been top quality and the best available. It has been a very successful year; an addition of 5
more championships has brought the team’s winning tally to 18 in only 5 years.
Luke Cooper, still only 18, retained his under-21 British Championship on his KTM 450 SX-F
ATV. Adding to his success this year he became IOPD British Champion, NORA Expert
Champion and took 3rd place in the British Open Championship. Luke had 2nd position within
his grasp until a tangle with a back-marker in the final race cost him the runner-up spot.
Lukas Studeny, also 18, has had another excellent season, finishing the year with both the
Czech Republic and the Slovakian Championship titles. He ran away with the championship
in both of these countries this year and he is fast becoming a national celebrity!
Team manager, Richard Cole, said: “What a truly remarkable year, our results have been
fantastic. I just want to thank KTM UK and all our partners for all their support in 2013.
Especially DWT for supplying us with top-quality tyres that gave us an advantage over the
competition. Also, PEP for supplying us with the best suspension available and making our
bikes the best handling bikes on the track. Luke and Lucas will remain with me for the 2014
season and I hope to continue with all our existing sponsors.”
