Patton, PA (9/29/2011)
- KTM,
the sports motorcycle specialist from Austria
is pleased to announce a worldwide partnership
with Athena, leading manufacturer of motorcycle
cylinders, gaskets, pistons and makers of GET
ECU’s, data acquisition systems and video
devices for motorsports.
“What started with a good relationship
when Claudio de Carli joined the KTM factory
team management structure when Tony Cairoli
first signed with us in 2010 has now developed
into a productive and rewarding global partnership,”
said Pit Beirer, Head of KTM Motorsports.
Beirer also confirmed that a solid partnership
with Athena also represents a further strengthening
of the three-way thrust of KTM’s factory
racing activities: with De Carli as manager
of the MX1 World Championship factory team,
Stefan Everts as head of the MX2 World Championship
factory team and Roger DeCoster as manager of
the Red Bull KTM factory team for SX and MX
in the USA. He said Athena’s high tech
devices are instrumental in helping to maintain
and monitor the on-track activities of the factory
teams and suggests to KTM dealer network outlets
and enthusiasts that they use them.
