United Kingdom (10/19/2010) -
After a highly successful 2010
race season, Richard Cole has inked a deal to
continue his Championship winning partnership
with KTM, the Team KTM UK race team getting full
factory backing once again from the Austrian manufacturer
for the 2011 season and maintaining their presence
as one of the highest profile racing teams on
the British and European Quad Racing circuit.
With outstanding performances throughout 2010,
Team KTM UK dominated the British Championship
scene to take a clean sweep of titles in the
GOLDSPEED ACU British Quad Cross and QRA British
Quad Cross Country Championships, collectively
making twenty-one overall podium appearances
and claiming the top step on ten occasions,
a fantastic team effort that included nineteen
heat wins and forty-seven heat podiums, while
the success continued at International level
with their riders making regular appearances
on the podium in the GOLDSPEED EMX Quad European
Championship.
Having supported Team KTM UK since 2009 and
having watched them go from strength to strength,
KTM UK’s Managing Director Shaun Sisterson
commented “After two very successful years
we are delighted to continue officially supporting
the Team KTM UK race team in 2011, under the
expert management of Richard Cole. As a new
entrant into the quad market the progress we
have made together in these two years has been
nothing short of phenomenal, culminating in
this years clean sweep of the British Quad Cross,
British Under 21 Quad Cross and British Quad
Cross Country Championships. We are currently
finalising plans and the rider line-up for next
year, but whatever we do we will continue to
challenge on all fronts and build on the great
platform we have already established. On behalf
of KTM UK I would like to congratulate Richard,
Paul, James, Jason and the unsung members of
the team for a fantastic 2010, and we look forward
to even more success in 2011!”
As a former British and European Quad Racing
Champion himself before injury cut short his
racing career, Richard Cole has made the successful
transition from rider to Team manager with an
excellent track record at National and International
levels, and with the help of everyone at Team
KTM UK and their loyal sponsors has put together
a winning package that enjoys an unrivalled
level of success and exposure. “It’s
fantastic to have KTM on board once again for
2011” said a delighted Cole after confirming
the deal, “they are a fantastic company
to work with and the quality of their bikes
and level of support which we receive is second
to none.
This has been a fantastic two years for the
Team and we have continued to build on the success
we achieved from the outset in 2009, but like
any successful partnership this has been a true
Team effort and none of it would be possible
without the excellent products and support which
we receive from our loyal sponsors, and without
doubt the dedicated Team here at Team KTM UK
with my thanks going out to the riders, our
families and friends. At this stage preparations
are well under way for 2011 and the rider line
up has been agreed but will not be formally
announced until the Dirt Bike Show on the 4th
of November, but in the meantime I can assure
you that it is yet another Championship winning
line-up and we have been preparing some promotional
materials, including a DVD from the 2010 season,
which will be distributed to our loyal sponsors
to show the commitment that Team KTM UK have
in promoting their brand.
It has
been a fantastic year and I’d like to
take this opportunity to thank the following
people for their excellent products, services
and support: KTM,
ATV’s Only, Axcalibar Racing Axles, AXP
Racing, Baldwin Motorsports, CP, DP Brakes,

with you all again in 2011 and beyond.”
