KTM Riders Claim Success on the EDT ATV Racing Circuit

KTM North America's Nick Camilli

KTM North America Support Rider Nick Camilli

Concord, NC (10/16/2009) - Another year of EDT racing is in the history books. The series had its share of ups and downs but KTM North America support riders Chuckie Creech and Nick Camilli both saw their share of domination throughout the year on the new KTM 450 SX quad. From qualifying to heat races and main events, the 450 SX has proven to be a strong competitor on the national circuit.

Chuckie Creech finished out the year with an impressive 3rd place finish in the Pro class and 4th in the Pro Lites. “It felt good to ride something new and be a part of the KTM team,” Creech said. “The competition this year was tough and the points were so close that there was no room for error.”

“We did a lot of experimenting during the off times and we feel we have a quad very capable of winning a championship.” Creech would like to thank KTM, Roberts Racing, Baldwin, PEP shocks, iTi Performance, Rath Racing, Fly, CRJ, Dirt Fiend, Triangle Cycles, Sidi Boots, and Douglass Wheel..

“I was amazed at the power and handling of the KTM when I first picked it up,” Camilli said. “My sponsors and I spent a lot of time setting up the quad and dialing it in before the first national. Each race we consistently got faster and the results prove it.”

Nick Camilli claimed championships in both the 4-Stroke A and Plus 25 classes

Camilli went on to claim the championship in both the 4-Stroke A and Plus 25 classes. “I cannot thank KTM enough for believing in me and giving me the opportunity. Being a support rider for a manufacturer at an amateur level is a dream come true. I would also like to thank Turtle Racing Engines, Roberts Racing, MSR, and Cycle Goodies for supporting me.”

“KTM congratulates both Chuckie and Nick on their flat track success this season,” KTM’s ATV Product Manager Chris Vogtman said. “Chuckie and Nick are excellent examples of what can be achieved via our grassroots racer support program. KTM will continue to put a concerted effort into the flat track series next season with an even larger and deeper contingency payout structure.

“To racers who are interested in KTM’s racer support program and contingency for the 2010 season stay tuned. KTM will be making a big announcement that proves just how dedicated we are to ATV racing and our ‘Ready to Race’ ATV product in the very near future.”
