Monster Energy Kawasaki’s
Creamer Takes Fourth at Steel City
Irvine, CA (8/26/2007) - Monster Energy
Kawasaki ATV rider Josh Creamer rode an inspired
race to earn fourth aboard his Kawasaki KFX®450R
at the Steel City Raceway Invitational.
AMA Pro Racing added ATV racing to the event
schedule to the 10th round of the AMA Toyota Motocross
Championship in Delmont event, with 20 riders
being invited to the invite-only, non-points paying
race. The riders were allotted one practice session
before heading out for the 20-minute plus one
lap main event. In practice, Creamer turned in
the fastest lap and looked to be a favorite in
the main event.
In the main, Creamer got off to a poor start
and was forced to fight though the pack, where
he would eventually finish in fourth.
“It went really well,” said Creamer.
“I would have liked to get on the podium
and I think with a better start I would have.
Hopefully with this weekend’s race more
fans saw us and have learned something about our
sport. I would definitely do this again because
it can bring our sport to a whole new level.”
Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Jason Luburgh
didn’t get the best of starts and eventually
came across the finish in 13th, while Baldwin
Motorsports Kawasaki rider Josh Upperman earned
the 12th position.
The Monster Energy Kawasaki ATV team will head
to the Field of Dreams Motocross Park in Boswell,
Pa., on September 15, for final round of the WPSA
ATV Series.
