Kawasaki donated ten Kawasaki Mule 410 Trans4x4 Diesel & Teryx 4 750 SxS / UTVs to local governments, police, and fire agencies working on relief efforts in the region affected by the EF5 tornado

Irvine, CA (5/25/2013) - As the citizens of Moore, Newcastle, and Oklahoma City, Okla. recover from a devastating EF5 tornado, Kawasaki Motors Corp., U.S.A. is donating ten new Kawasaki Mule 4010 Trans4x4 Diesel and Teryx4 750 4x4 four-passenger utility vehicles to local governments, police, and fire agencies working on relief efforts in the region.

“The devastation inflicted on the Oklahoma City area by this massively destructive tornado is not going to be repaired overnight, and the team at Kawasaki wants to help in any way we can.” said Tak Teranishi, Kawasaki’s president. “These vehicles are being provided immediately, to help public safety workers clear debris, patrol affected areas, assist families in the clean-up and repair of their homes, and to aid small business owners in their quests to reopen their businesses.”

Kawasaki also opened its donation-matching program for contributions by employees at all of its U.S. facilities.  The company will match all individual donations from $30 to $500 made to the Red Cross and other non-profit relief organizations.   

The Kawasaki Mule is ideal for infrastructure projects and emergency response. Used by police, fire and EMT departments across the country as well as by construction workers and public utilities crews, the versatility of these lightweight, four-wheeled vehicles is coupled to their unique ability to traverse rugged terrain, such as the debris from this natural disaster.
