Justin Waters
Scores a Top 10 at Lake Havasu WORCS ATV Race
Lake Havasu, AZ (3/26/2010) - HotSeat
Powersports/Yamaha rider Justin Waters continued
his second professional season March 21 at Round
3 of the World Off Road Championship Series, at
Crazy Horse Campground in Lake Havasu City AZ. It
was a battle at one of the most demanding rounds
of the year, with relatively short laps and a sandy,
rough, whooped-out track. The infamous "Lagoon
Jump" nearly claimed Waters, as well as several
other top riders.

The track is built on the sandy shores of Lake
Havasu, so track conditions deteriorated quickly.
The man-made jumps specifically didn't hold up
well, and about 2/3 of the way through Sunday's
main event Justin didn't get the lift he needed
on take-off over the lagoon and cased the landing
hard. It was probably one of the most-photographed
and most-videoed moments of the race. However,
the YFZ450R was well-equipped to take the punishment
and suffered no failures. Justin credits his Fox
Racing Shox and Teixeira Tech A-arms for this
one.
It was also his debut of Precision Racing Products'
shock and vibe clamps. Justin ran the new vibe
clamps last round, but since it hadn't been officially
unveiled, he had to keep it under wraps. At Havasu,
it was a key piece of equipment and he was busy
showing it off to many interested spectators and
other racers.
"This track gets so rough, you need
every bit of help you can get to reduce the abuse
your arms and upper body take,Justin said before
the race. To have something that performs this
well, at this price, I think they're going to
sell a lot of them. I'm glad I have one on today!"
After his hard luck at the lagoon, Waters had
to shake it off and re-focus. He continued to
run strong until the end, gaining one additional
position. He ended the day with an 8th place finish,
maintaining his 7th place standing in the series
points, and extending his points lead over riders
behind him.
Round 4 will be April 24-25 at Racetown 395 in
Adelanto, CA. With lots of experience on that
track, look for Justin to do well once again.
