Joe Byrd took
his first win of the 2011 AMA ATV MX season
aboard his Honda TRX450R ATV

Union City, TN (5/24/2011) -
After yet another disappointing weekend at Round
5 of the AMA Nationals, Joe Byrd was determined
to turn this season around once and for all. After
training hard to make a comeback, Byrd lined up
at the gate for moto 1 focused, confident, and
determined.
At the start of Moto 1, Joe found himself in
6th place as the pack rounded the holeshot turn.
Joe battled for a few laps with several different
riders, although he would soon move up to the
4th place position to take the checkers.
As the gate dropped in Moto 2, Joe was off to
a solid 2nd place start. After moving his way
around Nick Denoble, Joe led the pack for the
rest of the race. Several laps later the checker
flag waved marking Joe Byrd’s 1st overall
win of the season! This was a huge milestone for
American Honda rider Joe Byrd. This was a much
needed and well deserved victory for the Honda
rider who has worked long hours with his team
testing bikes and fine tuning their program. Joe
