JB Off-Road’s Tim Farr Takes SxS Win at Ironman GNCC
Sam Williams Second in 4x4 Open Class

Crawfordsville, IN (11/4/2013) – The JB Off-Road Team made their final appearance of the GNCC season at the series finale in Crawfordsville, Indiana. The Ironman turned into a day of celebration for the team with SxS driver, Tim Farr, taking the overall win in the XC1 Modified class. Sam Williams also capped his season with a second place in the 4x4 Open.

Tim Farr and his co-pilot, Julie Farr, started with their Can-Am Maverick on the third line of the XC1 Modified class. Farr had a great jump off the line and quickly worked his way through traffic to take over the lead. He had a lot of pressure from behind, with just a 06.922 gap as he flew through scoring on lap one.

Farr didn’t let off and worked to increase his lead as the laps went on. By lap three, Farr had increased the margin to 23.750. He continued to charge for the final three laps and took the win by an impressive, 40.985. This marks Farr’s first win in the XC1 Modified class.

“The race was awesome. The JB Team rallied after a disastrous round five and put us in the best Maverick we’ve raced all season. It was fast, handled great and ran flawlessly allowing us to lead all the laps and take the win. It was a perfect finish to the season and a huge confidence builder heading into 2014. I can’t thank the JB Off-Road Can-Am team enough,” regarded Farr about the win. Farr finished the SxS season ranked in sixth place.

On the utility side of things, Sam Williams had another great finish and notched a second place to secure a second overall in the 4x4 Open championship chase. Williams didn’t get off to the best start and was running fourth, more than forty seconds behind the leader. Williams rallied and began to work his way through traffic to take the second spot on lap three.

He remained in second until the checkers, besting third place by over eight minutes. “It was a tough race, but I’m glad to get a solid finish. It has been a good season with the JB Off-Road Team. I can’t thank them enough,” said Williams.

The JB Off-Road Team had a successful end to their season. With both of their SxS finish with solid placing’s; a second place overall in 4x4 Open and a top ten finish by Jarrod McClure in the XC1 Pro Class.
