Williams’ put the pressure on second position and was soon able to capitalize on another racer’s mistake and move into second position.

“My Outlander was working flawless. I made some changes and it felt really good. I did hit a tree, but the quad took it and I was able to finish strong,” regarded Williams.

McClure was in fifth as the leaders ripped through scoring on lap one. He kept up his pace and remained in fifth for all four laps. McClure rode almost unchallenged most of the race and easily took home a top five finish. He bested sixth by 01:18.015. He is currently ranked fifth in XC1 Pro Points.

“I just kept pushing and put a pretty good gap on the guys behind me. I wasn’t able to close the gap ahead of me, by the time I was in fifth the leaders had really pulled away. My Can-Am worked well though, it keeps getting better each race. Hopefully we’ll be up front next week,” said McClure.
