JB Racing’s Sam Williams Third in 4x4 Open at Big Buck GNCC
JB Racing's Jarrod McClure Earns Top 5 in the GNCC XC1 Pro ATV Class

#616 Sam Williams earned 3rd place in the 4x4 Open Class at the Big Buck GNCC on his Can-Am Outlander ATV

Union, SC (4/25/2013) –The Big Buck GNCC brought strong finishes for the JB Racing / Cheerwine Team. The fourth round of GNCC took place at in Union, SC at the Big Buck. JB Racing had racers compete successfully in 4x4 Open, XC1 Pro and SxS XC1 Modified.

Sam Williams got a mid-park on his Can-Am Outlander in the 4x4 Open.  Williams got into a tangle about a mile into the race, but recovered quickly and worked his way into third position.  Williams kept up his charge and remained in third for all five laps. Williams bested fourth place by over five minutes. He currently sits in fourth place in the 4x4 Open point’s standings.

“It was a pretty uneventful race. My Outlander worked well and I am looking forward to making a few changes to it and coming on strong at the Mammoth,” regarded Williams.

JB Racing / Cheerwine's Jarrod McClure placed fifth in the GNCC XC1 Pro Class

In the XC1 Pro class, Jarrod McClure raced his Can-Am DS 450 to this third fifth place finish this season. McClure got off the line near the back of the pack and was in eighth on lap one. He put on a strong charge and came through scoring in fifth on lap two.

“I rode my own race. The Can-Am worked well and I didn’t have any big problems. I got stuck on a hill late in the race, but was able to maintain my position and finish in the top five,” said McClure. McClure remained in fifth the rest of the five laps. He is currently ranked sixth in the XC1 Pro Class.

Tim Farr placed fourth in the GNCC XC1 Modifed SxS Class in his JB Racing / Can-Am Maverick SxS / UTV

Tim and Julie Farr raced their JB Racing Can-Am Maverick to a fourth place finish in the XC1 Modified SxS Class. Farr was in fifth place on lap one and pushed hard through traffic to move into fourth by lap four. He was able to fend off the competition for all six laps and remain in fourth. He crossed the line 05.047 ahead of fifth place.

The JB Racing / Cheerwine Team will be back in action at round five of theGNCC in Park City, Kentucky. The racing action is sure to be exciting as Sam Williams and Jarrod McClure look to secure top spots in their classes at The Mammoth GNCC.
