Jackie Meadows To Come Out Of Retirement in 2006

Memphis, TN (9/16/05) - In a press release to ATV Racin' Extra on Tuesday the 13th of September, 2005, Joel Janssen of Janssen Motorsports out of Kaukauna, Wisconsin announced that former champion, Jackie Meadows of Memphis, Tennessee will return to dirt track racing in the 2006 Extreme Dirt Track ATVA Nationals. Meadows, a well liked and recognized diplomat of the sport of ATV racing, has committed to a partial schedule at this time and is considering running all of the events in the upcoming year. In 2004, after the tragic loss of his father, "Big Jack Meadows", Jackie had to take over the family business and found himself reorganizing his life without his best friend and constant race companion. "It's just not the same without dad." he remarked in an interview with ATV Racin' Extra in 2004 when he did a cameo apperance at Paducah International Raceway during the TT National to accept the honary awards bestowed upon his father by the national racing community. With the passing of time and things beginning to settle down business wise, Meadows' desire to come back was prompted by Janssen who will provide support both on and off the track for the returning champion.
