ITP's Jeffrey
Rastrelli won the 2011 Pro
Am Unlimited Championship
|
Ontario, CA (11/16/2011) -ITP
was honored to once again be heavily involved
in the ATV MX National Championship Series.
The 2011 season was filled with stellar
performances and countless compelling
stories. And participation numbers were
impressive considering the country’s
economic issues, with over 700 entrants
at the season finale at Loretta Lynn’s
in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee.
Likewise, ITP is honored to recognize
the success of its top
riders. Whether they chose ITP’s
Holeshot or QuadCross lines of tires or
T-9 Pro Series wheels, these riders demonstrated
the talent and commitment
it takes to set themselves apart from
the competition.
For example, Jeffrey Rastrelli of Palm
City, Florida, came out on top of an extremely
hard-fought Pro Am Unlimited championship
battle. He captured four overall wins
in the series’ 11 events, and was
in the top three at every race but one.
Rastrelli also competed in the Pro Am
Production class and finished the season
with fourth place in the points, taking
one victory and five podiums along the
way.

Heather Byrd
closed the season with five straight
wins to claim the Women’s
class National Championship
|
Claiming another title for ITP was Heather
Byrd, from Grant, Michigan. Byrd became
the Women’s class National Champion
by grabbing seven overall victories, including
five in a row to finish the season. She
missed the podium only one time all year.
Riverview, Florida’s, Brian Johnson
took an overall win and two runner-up
finishes in the Production A division,
which helped him place third overall in
the final point standings.
|
Cody Janssen
only participated in a couple
of MX Nationals in 2011, but
grabbed two impressive overall
wins
|
Cody Janssen scored points in four different
classes during the MX National season, even
though he only attended a couple of events.
He was on fire at the RedBud National in
Buchanan, Michigan, in July. The Kaukauna,
Wisconsin, native went 1-1 in both motos
of both the Production A and College 16-24
classes to snare two overall wins on the
day. He was also top-five in the Pro Am
Unlimited class. Janssen devoted most of
his 2011 efforts to Wisconsin-based racing,
where he grabbed the holeshot in 179 of
184 gate drops and tallied an astonishing
92 overall victories. He relied on ITP QuadCross
MX PRO LITE front and rear tires throughout.

Youth ATV
Racer Jordan Digby & his family
are a perfect example of dedication
to the
sport. The youngster competed
in three classes at all 11 events.
|
It’s unlikely that any rider put in
more total laps during the National calendar
than young Jordan Digby. Traveling to every
round from Fulton, Mississippi, Digby finished
top-seven for the series in three classes:
90cc Automatic Jr. (8-11 yrs.), 70cc Modified
(6-11 yrs.) and 70cc SS (6-11 yrs.). He
had the most success in the latter, taking
two overall wins and finishing the season
third in class points.
Congratulations to these riders and
their supporters, and to
everyone who put in the time and effort
to chase a championship dream. We
hope to see you again in 2012!
