2010 Italian BAJA XC ATV Race Team Report

Italy (3/24/2010) - Start the 2010 season with good results for the XC Race Team, the Italian Team 2009 UEM Champion with Paoletti streetlegal yamaha Atv

4 ATV racers from f 4 different country: Portugal, Spain, Austria and Italy, and all three Paoletti Yamaha 450's and the one Paoletti Yamaha Raptor 700 finished the race.

2nd place overall and 1st in the 450 class was Rafael Acurcio (Portugal) with Dakar ATV Legend Joseph Machacek taking the win on his powerful Yamaha with TDM 900 engine, which makes it impossible to compete with the higher top speed of the 900 in this type of Baja race, which is very fast without many bumps.

Juanluis Gonzales took 2nd place in the 450 class in a very unlucky race. A stone damage his radaitor, but he arrived to the finish without problem in 8th overall.

Giuseppe Cuffaro just missed the podium with a 4th place class finish and 22nd overall, and with his 50th years old the "gentleman driver" of the team.
Sabine Pulz with his Paoletti 700 win the woman class and finish 15th overall.

"the season will be long and hard" said Angelo Montico, team manager of XC Race. "All the team work perfectly, the riders have a good feeling with the atv, mechanics do a good and hard job in all the weekend. Is a good start, but we must start to concentrate immediatly for the next race in Germany"
