Scott Kiger placed third in the UTV Open
Modified Class at the John Penton GNCC
Round 9

Lynden, WA (7/10/2012) - With temps
in the 100’s, Scott Kiger kept his cool and
drove his Coastal Racing/Holz prepped RZR XP to
a solid 3rd place podium finish in UTV Open Modified
Class at Round 9 of the 2012 Can-Am Grand National
Cross Country Series held at Sunday Creek Raceway
in Southern Ohio.
While other cars suffered overheating or mechanical
issues, driving smart and smooth was Kiger’s
plan and he executed it to a “T”.
With this third place finish, Kiger took the points
lead in class XC1 with two rounds remaining.
Kiger’s Polaris RZR-XP 900 features the
Holz Racing Products GNCC-legal “XC”
narrow suspension kit. Featuring tig-welded 4130

The Coastal/Holz team will use the next few weeks
to test and prepare for the longest off-road race
in the US, the Best in the Desert — the
General Tire Vegas to Reno, along with prepping
to finish strong in the GNCC series.
Looking ahead, Kiger and his Coastal/HRP Rzr
XP will compete at the Best in the Desert General
Tire Vegas to Reno on August 17th and will look
to move up from the current fourth place position
and race the final two events of the GNCC series.
The team looks to win championships in each series!
