Matt Parks piloted his Holz /
Parks Racing Polaris RZR 4 UTV / SxS to
take second at Round 9 of BITD to win the
UTV Pro Class Championship |
Lynden, WA (12/7/2011) - Having
raced a very consistent season in his Holz-built
RZR 4 “Baja Bobsled”, Matt Parks entered
the Transwest Ford Henderson 250 positioned second
in series points, only 3 point out of the lead.
Parks and his team finished second at Henderson,
ahead of the points leader, thus winning the UTV
Pro Class Championship in the 2011 BITD series.
Matt offered his brief recap of the race: “We
came into the last race of the Best in the Desert
racing series, the Henderson 250, three points
out of first place and the championship was on
the line. My Holz-built RZR 4 has proven to not
only be fast but also reliable this season, and
in the previous five races we have won three times,
got one second and one third. Race day started
off with freezing temperatures and high winds
and I knew that we had to finish ahead of the
team leading the series to have a chance at the
title. We got a fairly poor start but worked ourselves
into the lead by the end of the first lap. I was
struggling with helmet fogging issues and with
our ride height being too low for the rocky course.
Since we were ahead of the team leading the series,
we decided to do a lengthy pit stop in order to
raise the ride height, completely check over the
car and let me work on my fogging issue. This
allowed another UTV to get by, but since we didn’t
need to finish ahead of them to win the championship,
we just cruised during the last lap to insure
we brought it home in one piece. My Holz-built
RZR 4 worked great all season and the combination
of light weight, durability and Kroyer-built engine
proved that my little 800cc motor can compete
with the larger displacement UTVs.”
Everyone at Holz Racing congratulations Matt
Parks and his team!

and put it in stock. And now for the past five
seasons, we’ve taken that same process and
applied it to our line of ATV & UTV Products.
We build complete packages. Shocks from FOX and
Walker Evans along with valving matched to perform
at the highest level. Long Travel A-Arms, Extended
Swingarms, Long Travel Linkages, Steering Stems,
and parts that make the ride better. We strive
to keep all our parts in stock and ship things
as quick as possible to keep you riding, not waiting
for the delivery man. Holz Racing Products...
