Hesperia, CA (7/8/2013) - The heat was a huge factor as the H&M Motorsports Team took to the line at the fourth round of the Yamaha Quad X Series in Hesperia, California at Comp Edge MX. David Haagsma didn’t let the 108 temperatures bother him and took his third win of the season. Beau Baron finished in third after taking the moto two win.

David Haagsma took an impressive win in moto one as he led from start to finish. Haagsma and his Sparks powered Honda rocked off the line and took the holeshot. Haagsma continued to hold the lead and gap the rest of the field.

“Moto one went really well. I got the holeshot. My Sparks motor was ripping and my Maxxis Tires really hooked up. The track was fun and I just tried to enjoy it and ignore the heat. It was a good day,” said Haagsma.

Haagsma was second off the line in moto two; he remained in the second spot until the checkers. The 1-2 score card was good enough for the win. Haagsma currently holds the points lead in the Pro class with three wins after four rounds of racing.

Beau Baron experienced a few heat related issues in moto one. The problem resulted in him dropping from second early in the moto back to seventh. He rallied for moto two and took the win. Baron grabbed the holeshot and used his Sparks engine to gap the field. He continued to charge and took a win, which not only gave him third for the day but also boosted his overall points. Baron is currently ranked third in the Pro class.

Haagsma and Baron will be back at it in just a few days at the fifth round of the Yamaha Quad X. The round will be held at Glen Helen on July 7th. The duo is sure to lay down some exciting laps as Haagsma looks to extend his lead and Baron continues to battle  for his first overall win of the season.
