San Bernardino, CA (11/15/2013) - David Haagsma won his second consecutive Quad X Championship. Haagsma put on an impressive show to take 1-1 at the series finale. Beau Baron secured second place in the series by wrapping up the year with a second place at final round.

David Haagsma started off the first moto by rocketing off the line with his Curtis Sparks engine and nabbing both the holeshot and the lead. Haagsma did not let off and continued in the lead for all ten laps. Haagsma had a flawless moto and took the win by an impressive 11.392.

“The first moto was great. My Maxxis Tires and Sparks engine pulled me right into the lead. Once I had the lead, I just rode my own race,” said Haagsma.

Moto two went just as well for Haagsma. He, again, grabbed the holeshot and moved into the early lead. He again began gapping the field. He did have some pressure from behind, but was able to take his second win of the day. Haagsma’s 1-1 score card not only gave him the win, but it also secured him his second Quad X Pro Championship.

“Winning two championships in a row is awesome. It felt so good to get the 1-1 today and secure the championship. I couldn’t be happier. I can’t thank my team and my sponsors enough. It was just an awesome end to a great season,” said Haagsma.

Beau Baron had another good day and secured the 2-2 finish for the H&M Motorsports team. Baron had a good start in moto one, and was in third early on in the race. Baron continued to pressure second position and on the final lap pushed through an inside line to take second spot before the checkered flag.

“We had a great battle in moto one. I kept waiting for him to make a mistake so I could move up, but it didn’t work out in my favor until the final turn,” said Baron.
Baron had another great start in moto two; he was second off the gate behind his teammate and stayed in the second position for the entire race. He kept the pressure on Haagsma but wasn’t able to make a pass. Baron’s 2-2 finishes helped him edge out the competition and second for the season.

“This was a good season. I was a little worried about the end with my collar bone, but I was able to ride through it. My H&M Motorsports Honda was flawless. The Sparks engine and Maxxis Tires were strong all season, it was awesome to get the 2-2 here,” regarded Baron.

Looking back the H&M Motorsports team had a flawless season. Haagsma not only took the Quad X Championship, but all won the SxS 750 class at the WORCS. Baron won both the WORCS Pro ATV and Pro SxS Championship, with Haagsma taking a close second in the Pro ATV Class. With success like that, it’s hard to imagine how the H&M Team will top it next season.
