                                  Bakersfield, CA (2/14/2012) - Maxxis
                                  Tires/H&M Motorsports’ Beau Baron
charged his way to another podium finish at
round number two of the 2012 WORCS series with
teammate David Haagsma finishing strong in the
                                  top five.

Buffalo Bill’s Casino in Primm, NV
hosted this round of the series that saw much
welcomed sunny skies, especially after the
wet conditions of rounds one. However, the
dry conditions did cause quite a bit of dust
that was a challenge for racers.
The dead engine starts can be tricky for
some, but for Beau Baron it seemed easy as
he shot off the line in the number two spot.
Baron fell back a bit due to the dusty conditions
that were at hand, but he was able to rebound
and came back strong. Baron charged his way
back from third place, into the number two
spot in lap nine. Baron kept a fast pace and
pulled away from the rest of the pack, but
ran out of time before he could chase down
the leader and finished in a solid second
                                    place.

“It was pretty rough out there, but
I am pretty happy with how I finished. I have
                                    to thank Maxxis H&M. it’s a first
year team and they have been awesome. They
have done such a great job!” stated
                                    Baron.
David Haagsma also got a good start in the
number five spot and quickly worked his way
up to third by the end of the first lap, and
by the third lap, Haagsma took over the lead
while securing the second fastest lap-time
of the race. “The Maxxis Tires and Sparks
motor worked awesome out there and I was able
to move up quickly and take the lead,”
                                    said Haagsma.

Haagsma finished just outside the pro

Haagsma was pushing hard but developed huge
blisters on his hands and was having difficulty
hanging on; eventually he fell back. “It
felt great to be out there in the lead, but
I was having trouble hanging on and I started
to fall back. I still had a good race and
I’m happy with where I finished,”
said Haagsma, who still finished in a respectable
fourth place and is currently third in pro
                                    points.
