                                          the 2012 Racing Season |

                                  Bakersfield, CA (5/9/2012) -
It was another perfect weekend for Maxxis /
                                  H&M Motorsports’ David Haagsma after
he grabbed both moto holeshots and cruised to
his third consecutive Pro class victory at round
four of the 2012 Yamaha Quad-X Series.

The Maxxis/H&M Motorsports team headed
to “The Ranch” in Anza, CA for
this round of the series, where they were
greeted by one of the best tracks the series
has seen this season. The soil was sandy and
soft in some areas, but the course featured
plenty of elevations changes and technical
jumps that suited the team’s style perfectly.
David Haagsma was holding the points lead
going into this round after coming off of
a pair of back to back wins and was looking
to take his third at the Ranch. Haagsma’s
Curtis Sparks powered Honda flew off the starting
line for the first moto and allowed the young
racer to grab the moto one holeshot. “I
got a great start in the first moto and I
just kept pulling away from the pack with
every lap,” explained Haagsma, who cruised
to an easy moto one win.

Haagsma grabbed both Pro moto holeshots
on his Curtis Sparks built Honda 450R
                                          ATV |

The second moto was nearly identical for
Haagsma after he again grabbed the holeshot
and checked out. While battles brewed behind
him, Haagsma increased his lead with every
lap and crossed the finish line with a lead
of over 14 seconds ahead of the competition.
“Everything went really well for me
this weekend. I have to give a big thanks
to Maxxis Tires, Curtis Sparks for building
a great motor, and of course the H&M crew
for everything they do for me,” said
Haagsma, who holds a six point lead with 97
                                    points.
Maxxis/H&M’s Beau Baron had a good
first moto. Baron was in a drag race with
his teammate, David Haagsma going into the
first corner. “David and I were side
by side and I went wide and got a little hung
up in some of the soft stuff, so it slowed
me down a bit, but I made several passes and
got back into second,” Baron explained.

/ H&M Motorsports Beau Baron placed
                                          second in Moto 1 |

Baron closed in a bit on his teammate, who
was in the lead, but ran out of time before
he got close enough to make a move and settled
                                    for a second place finish.

In the second moto, Baron and Haagsma again
went bar to bar off the start, with Baron
taking the wide line and coming out in mid
pack. Baron put the hammer down and was making
great progress, but he suffered a mechanical
failure in the second lap, which ended his
day early. “I still had a good race
and I know I would have been up front with
David, so I am ok with it. I really want to
thank H&M Motorsports for all of the great
support they are giving me this season. It
has really made a difference for me and I’m
going to make sure I put them on the podium
at the next round,” said Baron.
Round number five of the 2012 Yamaha Quad
X series will head to Speedworld MX in Surprise,
AZ on June 23rd for a Saturday night race
                                    where the Maxxis/H&M Motorsports team
will be going for the podium.
