                                  Bakersfield, CA (2/22/2012) -
Maxxis / H&M Motorsports’ David Haagsma
and Beau Baron dominated at the 2012 Adelanto
Grand Prix this past weekend with Haagsma taking
top honors and Baron finishing in a close second
                                  place.

Conditions at Racetown 395 were windy and
chilly, which made it difficult to keep the
track watered, leading to some dusty conditions
in certain areas. The cold and windy conditions
                                    didn’t deter the Maxxis/H&M Motorsports
team and saw excellent racing from both riders.
                                  Maxxis Tires/H&M Motorsports’ David
Haagsma was in a close second off the start
behind his teammate Beau Baron. “I was
right behind Beau off the start and in about
the third or fourth turn, he went wide to
set up for a jump and I was able to get underneath
him and take the lead,” stated Haagsma.

From there, Haagsma held his lead for the
rest of the race and took what seemed to be
an easy win for him. “The track got
kind of rough out there, but I was able to
stay out front and took the win by about 20
seconds in the 80 minute race. I have to thank
Maxxis Tires and H&M Motorsports as well
as all of our other sponsors for their support
and helping us do well,” Haagsma concluded.

Baron took the holeshot but fell back
to second before crossing the finish

                                  Maxxis Tires/H&H Motorsports’ Beau
Baron grabbed the holeshot and was leading,
but just a couple of turns into the first
lap, Baron went a little too wide and fell
back to second. “I stayed close to David
for a couple of laps but I made a pit stop
to make a couple of adjustments and dropped
back a bit. David was riding really well,
so it was hard to catch back up to him,”
said Baron, who was still happy with his second
                                    place finish.
“This was a good race for us to be
able to come out here and get in some seat
time before we head to Havasu for the third
WORCS race. H&M has been doing a great
job and I really have to thank them for everything.
With all the hard work everyone has been doing,
hopefully we will be one and two on the podium
                                    at Havasu,” stated Baron.
The next round of racing for the Maxxis/H&M
Motorsports team will be round three of the
WORCS series which will be held on March 16th
                                    – 18th at the Crazy Horse Campgrounds
in Lake Havasu, AZ where the team will be
                                    going for the podium.
