Bakersfield, CA (9/6/2011)
- H&M / MCR’s David Haagsma
rode to a 5th place finish in this past WORCS
race and stayed in the O/A season top 3 points
hunt going into the final 3 rounds of the 2011
WORCS ATV series. Haagsma would qualify 4th
on Saturday and look for a good finish come
Sunday morning. The gate fell Sunday at 1:30pm
for round 6 of the WORCS series at Washougal
MX park presented by one of Davi’s top
sponsors, Maxxis tires. Haagsma would run as
high as 4th at one point before giving up the
spot just halfway through to settle for 5th
on the day.
“I felt good this weekend. It was my first
time to Washougal and while the scenery is awesome,
the track was dry and rough out back and I really
had to rely on the bike to get me through. The
ELKA shocks worked really well and the Maxxis
tires did an outstanding job. The track was
super rough and the shocks soaked everything.
Can’t thank those guys enough”,
said Haagsma following the race. “I have
three tracks left that I know very well and
I’m hoping to secure my first podium before
the season ends.
H&M Motorsports continues to finish solid
this season as Haagsma sits 5th in points, just
four points behind Yamaha’s Dustin Nelson
in 4th. Congrats to MCR teammate Beau Baron
on his 2nd place in Pro & H&M team rider,
Pro-Am pilot Chase Thomas who captured his best
finish of the year with a win at Washougal.
Congrats to Chase on his first ever WORCS win
in the competitive Pro-Am class.
Davi will travel to Phoenix on Sept. 10th for
Round 7 of the Yamaha Quad-X series, then to
Glen Helen on Sept. 16th for Round 7 of the
WORCS series. For more info on the two series,
