Bakersfield, CA (5/5/2011) - H&M Motorsports/MCR’s David Haagsma returned from Round 4 of the 2011 ATV WORCS series this past weekend, where he continued to climb in points and better his finish coming into summer break. Haagsma rode flawless as he steadily pushed the pace and finished a season high, 4th place at Cahuilla Creek in Anza, Ca. Davi qualified 4th on Saturday in Pro practice and felt good come Sunday morning before the gate fell on the Round #4 WORCS ATV Pro main presented by Motoworks.

“The track was absolutely perfect this weekend, a dramatic change from last year and I felt good all day. My Curtis Sparks tuned Honda was solid and I was pumped coming away with a 4th place.” said Haagsma Tuesday morning. “I think I’m getting more comfortable out there and riding that Pro pace has helped me out a lot. I’m really looking forward to Payette, ID early next month.”

Haagmsa continues to place higher each race from his previous 3 rounds of an 8th in Taft, 6th in PRIMM & the 5th at Lake Havasu.

H&M Motorsports’ Pro-Am pilot, Chase Thomas showed an increase in speed as well. Chase also captured a 4th place finish while running as high as 2nd & 3rd for most of the race on Haagsma’s 2010 WORCS Pro-Am Championship Honda 450.

“Chase is doing great. He’s on the Honda now and I think he has transitioned well and it’s showing in his results. Chase does a great job for us and were looking for good results from him going into the second half after summer break.

Haagsma & Thomas will head to Payette, ID June 5th for Round 5 of the WORCS series, where Davi currently sits 5th in points, just 7 points shy of 2010 Quadcross Champion Dustin Nelson in 4th while Chase Thomas sits tied in points in the Pro-Am class with El Cajon’s Garin Fuller in 7th.
