Bakersfield, CA (6/9/2010) - H&M's
Davi Haagsma put his MCR/Maxxis/Elka backed
Honda 450R on top of the podium this past
weekend in the WORCS series as he won his
3rd straight Pro-Am race and put himself way
out front in the points as the series heads
to Washington next month. Davi rode consistent
again and paced himself in the dry hot California
desert heat to take the win by a marginal
fashion and prove why he is the man to beat
in the Pro-Am ranks out west.
Haagmsa who rides for Mike Cafro while on
the west coast is determined to take this
title as he breaks the 3/4 way mark in the
series with a 47 point lead. With that gap
over the 2nd spot, mathematically and WORCS
rule book wise, a win at Straddleline, WA
will secure the Pro-Am Championship that eluded
Haagsma last year at this very round. Haagmsa
who was trailing Can-Ams Dillon Zimmerman
last year at this point suffered a DNF at
Straddleline ending his shot at the Championship
in 2009. Next WORCS race- Straddleline, WA
(July 25th)
As for the AMA ATV Mx series back east, Haagsma
had a stellar first moto at Steel City Raceway,
scoring a 7th. In moto 2, he would finish
19th and posted an 11th O/A for the weekend,
making it his best finish in the series thus
far. Haagsma will visit Spring Creek this
weekend for Round 6 of the AMA MX Championships.
