Bakersfield, CA (6/25/2010) - H&M
/ Monster Energy/Maxxis' Davi Haagmsa continued
his East coast tour with stops at Spring Creek
& Muddy Creek this month as he took on the
Pro-Am Production class and moved his way up
in the series points going into the second half.
Haagmsa's first stop was Round #6 in Millville,
MN where he would qualify 11th on Saturday at
the demanding east coast track. On Sunday in
Moto 1, Davi would ride to a 9th after gating
well and working his way through the pack by
the end of the race.
In Moto 2, Davi's luck wouldn't fair so well,
as he came off the line fast and rode at the
front of the pack in 8th until he caught a
rock in the front wheel, resulting in a damaged
front end but managed to salvage a 16th, earning
him a 12th O/A on the day.
Next stop was Round 7 at the famous Muddy
Creek National in Blountville, TN. This track
is located just outside of the capital Nashville
and this race he would post better finishes.
Davi would qualify 11th on Sunday morning,
giving him a solid gate pick for Moto 1. Haagsma
came off in 9th and would get caught early
in the pack. At the end, after working his
way up to 12th he would go into Moto 2 with
motivation and needing a high finish. Davi
found a great start and rode solidly in the
top 5 before dropping one spot and finishing
a best 6th on the season, giving him a tally
of 8th O/A on the day.
"This is what we needed. Davi is consistently
getting confidence and the Muddy Creek race
did just that. We've said it all year long,
the talent back here is amazing and for him
to finish 8th O/A in a field of 30+ is good
for us", said Allan McCostlin of H&M
Motorsports. "I think a little more time
on these tracks and Davi should be cracking
top 5 before the season ends.
Next stop for Haagsma will be 4th of July
weekend at the prestige Pleasure Valley Raceway
in Armaugh, PA. Then the following weekend
will be back to back as he will go onto the
"Dilla" in New York for Round 9
at Unidilla, then fly back to the west coast
for WORCS Rnd #7 in Seattle, WA. Look for
a busy Race Report at the end of July.
