GORS Racing Series Terracross Qualifiying Schedule
GORS Racing SxS Series
Canton, GA (2/25/2014) - GORS Racing Series has been chosen to be a National Qualifier for the National TV series TERRACROSS in 2014.
GORS will be able to qualify a total of 10 racers from the 1000 class. Qualifying will go like so, the first five racers will be composed of the 1st place winners from rounds 1 through 5, the other five racers will come from the top five in points at the end of round 5. All ten racers will Race for the Pro Am Shoot out at TERRACROSS in Charlotte, NC in Sept 2014. The winner of the Pro Am Shoot out will have a shot to line up with the PRO class, where some of the top named racers in the WORLD will be competing head to head.
I am so pleased to bring this news to all UTV racers and excited for the opportunity it provides. GORS will be working with the TERRACROSS series to begin breeding smaller races as stepping-stones to make it to the main stage. Joe Duncan, Sport Organizer, of TERRACROSS and I have a great vision on where to take UTV racing. We are working very hard to bring a top level of racing from the small tracks to the top national level.

“I’m excited to bring the fast growing GORS series into the mix with Terracross”, says Joe Duncan, “as Sport Organizer for the ESPN X Games for over 17 years I have seen sports grow from nothing and I see Terracross and the sport of UTV racing heading in that direction and with the support and great growth opportunities with regionally based series like GORS the future is looking bright.”
GORS Round 1 is just a week away March 1st at Compound MX 101 Gray Court SC. This location will be the first qualifier round. Round 2 April 5th at HRD motorsports complex Gaston SC. We will rotate between tracks. Compound 101 May 17th HRD June 14th and Monster Mountain AL Aug 9th.
I was asked recently what I see happening for UTV racing and our GORS series. I said this series is growing leaps and bounds and as for UTV racing, it is growing faster then any other form of racing. I believe by this time next year you will see UTV racing at most mx tracks across the country. I am honored to be working with Joe and the TERRACROSS series and this is an amazing opportunity for the GORS racers and we intend to make the most of it.
Exact dates of Terracross events and TV schedule are being finalized and should be released in the next month, with that said rev up the engines and lets go Racing.
