Mid way through the 2006 GNCC racing season, a new internet media services company Motor Cast Network LLC launched the GNCCcast podcast program (www.GNCCcast.com), an internet podcast show all about the Grand National Cross Country racing serious and the people that make it interesting.

Popularity of the interview format show quickly grew and GNCCcast.com moved into it’s next phase and signed three top racers in different categories of the sport William Yokley, Rodney Smith and Heather Wilson (ATV, Motorcycle and womens off-road racing) and developed the Head to Head Racing podcast shows featuring top racers as host with other top racers as guest each week. Tens of thousands of listeners began downloading the programs and registered to receive the latest updates and new shows automatically via the podcast format over the web.

William Yokley, top professional ATV racer was one of the first pro’s to join the GNCCcast.com team and has been actively working to make the show a success. Most of the kids and adults I meet at races and other events follow the sport on the web already and with the whole podcast thing growing and growing it makes sense. Head to Head gives me a whole new way to reach the fans and also gives them a great way to meet the guys they like to follow”

GNCCcast has already begun working with Yokley during January and February and has been recording pre-season shows that will begin to be posted as the new season starts. “William’s been great to work with” says GNCCcast founder Al Montemayor “from the time we started last year right up to last week in the studio, he’s always giving it his best. His easy going manner and deep history in the sport really helps to make him a natural, he rally get all the other guys to relax and open up which in turn makes for a great shows”.

GNCCcast is working now to wrap up it’s 2007 sponsorship and advertiser lineup and with an audience and listener base that’s not only nationwide but who’s shows are downloaded worldwide, GNCCcast is planning for a continued growth. “This past year was a great start for us” says Montemayor, “but it was only the 1st lap and we plan on becoming a real force in the world of new media broadcasting – the Head to Head programs are an important part of our foundation and Yokley, Smith and Wilson’s continued commitment to their shows is a key part of our plan and we are proud to have them back and we are excited about our new look and sound for 2007 which will rollout the week before the start of the 2007 season”.
