Irwin, PA (5/21/2013) – Reliable Tool Supply / Maxxis Tire’s backed Chris Bithell earned his third podium finish of the season by taking an exciting second place at the AMSOIL Grand National Cross Country Limestone 100 in Springville, Indiana.  Bithell rode a solid race and put on a good show as he battled until the checkers.

Bithell was last off the line, but rode smart and passed his way to fourth before the pack of talented pro’s hit the woods. Bithell was able to take over the lead mid-way through lap one, but let another racer around near the eighth mile maker. He charged staying on the bumper of the leader and was just 01.547 behind as he went through scoring on lap one.

Bithell kept up the heated battle and never dropped too far behind the leader as they began to pull away from the rest of the field. By lap three Bithell had 45.516 seconds over third place. He did make a mistake on the final lap and got stuck for a brief amount of time. Bithell rallied and worked his way back up to be in sight of the leader. He charged and crossed the finish just 05.640 off the pace; he bested third by 29.282.

“It was a really good race. My Suzuki was working flawlessly. The track got a little rough, but my Maxxis Tires, FOX and Walsh set up really soaked everything up. The quad was handling great; the track was pretty slick in several places, but for the most part I didn’t have any issues. I wish I wouldn’t have gotten stuck on the last lap, I really wanted to make a charge, but overall it was a good day,” said Bithell.

Currently, Bithell sits in third in the overall point’s standings. There are just ten points separating him and second position. Bithell will be looking to put his FourWerx / Precision Suzuki out front in just two weeks at the Wiseco John Penton on June 1st. Also stay tuned to Bithell Racing’s Facebook page for a possible surprise announcement about an upcoming round of racing from Chris himself.
