Can-Am GNCC Racing Prohibits Podium Burnouts
Podium Burnouts No Longer Allowed for Podium Celebration

Morgantown, WV (4/11/2011) - Although traditionally recognized as an acceptable mode of celebration on the podium, burnouts pose an unnecessary risk of harm to other riders, fans and staff, as well as cause property damage to podium structures and facilities. Amateur Rules: Section J (6) Race Finishes:

6. Podium: Burnouts on the podium are prohibited. Violation of this provision will result in a penalty, including but not limited to fine and/or disqualification.

Pro Rules: Section K (5) Race Finishes:

5. Podium: Burnouts on the podium are prohibited. Violation of this provision will result in a penalty, including but not limited to fine and/or disqualification
