2011 GNCC Welcomes 8-Time Champion Barry Hawk to Event Team
ATV & Dirtbike GNCC Champion to Help Design and Construct GNCC Courses

Morgantown, WV (2/22/2011) - GNCC Racing is proud to welcome 8-Time Champion Barry Hawk to the 2011 event team. Hawk is the only rider in GNCC history to hold a championship title in both the bike and ATV disciplines.

Hawk will assist with the design and construction of the GNCC courses alongside Trail Boss Jeff Russell and Buren Hamrick.

"Looking forward to working with Barry this year," said GNCC Trail Boss Jeff Russell. "With his experience on both ATV's and motorcycles, Barry will bring a racer's perspective to both sides of the GNCC program."

Barry retired from professional racing in the fall of 2010 after 22 years of involvement in the sport. With 7 ATV Championships under his belt and one on the bike, Hawk has established himself on both sides of the GNCC podium.

"I'm really glad to have the opportunity to stay involved with GNCC Racing since I've been a part of it for such a long time. I'm a big fan of the series and I'm happy to be able to give back to the sport I love after all these years of racing," said the 8-Time Champion.

The 2011 Can-Am Grand National Cross Country Series kicks off with the Moose Racing Westgate River Ranch GNCC in River Ranch, Florida in conjunction with Daytona Bike Week March 5-8. ATV practice will take place on Saturday and racing on Sunday, followed by bike practice on Monday and racing on Tuesday. For more information, go to www.gnccracing.com.
